At least one person gets struck by lightning every other week.
When you have basic cable you find yourself reciting the local commercials with the mute button on.
You get homesick sooner than you think even though you couldn't wait to move out.
The bugs are way different down here than they are up north(flying roaches).

Even though it's been a lil' crazy this has been a fun and learning experience for the both of us as we grow up. I'm glad to be out on my own living as an adult making adult decisions and being able to take care of myself hundreds of miles away from home. We're still young and have a long way to go and I'm pretty sure there will be more crazy things to come in our lives but we're ready to take the challenge.
When I moved South (from Chicago) after getting married I discovered Publix and fell in love as well. Did you know they are an employee owned company. That fact makes me even happier about shopping there. And they have never laid anyone off despite economic hardships! Go Publix.

Also the bugs....yeah. I had nightmares about them when I first moved here. I remember running from the bed screaming in the middle of the night cuz I thought or dreamt there was a huge bug on me. That is how traumatized the bugs had me!
Congrats on being out on your own.
Peace
